Crooners, celts, and concert tips

This time, we started out with a selection of the "incontournable" French and francophone crooners (and yes, we did come up with a working definition of that category in the end...! ;), and then, for contrast, switched to some of the most heartfelt songs by women artists from France and North America. La Bottine Souriante and Suroit took us to Québec where the celtic heritage is very much alive, and we spent most of the second hour in west Africa with some eminently danceable zouglou and coupé-décalé and our favorite tracks by Cheikh Lô. Enjoy!
