Creative Commons, Pledge Drive, Rising Temperatures!

As you can see from the header on this page, Francophiliacs is a 2-hour radio program airing on WEFT 90.1 FM (www.weft.org) in Champaign, IL. The station is currently in the second week of the pledge drive, and we are so very grateful to all the people that have called and pledged during the show. Many many thanks!

As a way to encourage our listeners to help the station stay on the air this Spring the Francophiliacs have created a Bonus CD, a compilation of music from francophone artists distributing their music under the Creative Commons license. Recordings from 04/03 and 04/10 (and the one we will make next week) will feature tracks from the Bonus CD. We are happy to be able to bring this music to our listeners, serving as one more conduit for these artists.

Spring is in the air! We have picked some of the liveliest music and artists out there, to accompany our listeners are they went about their lives on this wonderful, sunny April afternoon. We can't have April in Paris... but we do get to have a very lovely April in Champaign...

Your joyful music helps me overcome the lethargy I feel on such a hot and humid day as today!
Thank you!
